History: Deep below the streets of New York, horrific demonic monstrosities lurk among us, seeking human flesh. A secret society is dedicated to keeping them from rising by satiating them with such. But where to get it? From unsuspecting subway train users, of course. For this job, a Butcher is chosen, and in this case, that Butcher is the mute Mahogany. For years, he's been finding people to gut, kill, and feed to the monsters. Then a rowdy reporter gets on his case...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After an intense battle that takes them both to the breeding grounds of the monsters, the reporter stabs Mahogany in the throat with a broken femur bone. The Butcher dies gleefully knowing that his thankless job is through, and after the reporter's mind is broken by the entire revelation, his tongue is cut out (a Butcher requirement) and he becomes the new Butcher.

Powers/Abilities: All butchers are imbued with great strength.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Let's assume that there are not terrifying, all too realistic-looking demon creatures being served this Butcher's killings. By himself, the Butcher is a stone-cold killer, brutalizing his victims and sometimes not even waiting for them to die before he puts them on meat hooks. But the worst part? All of this is for the greater good of humanity. Ouch.

Trivia: -This film's performance was a vastly unfortunate victim of Lion’s Gate Entertainment's change in management, which resulted in all previous projects being killed off and the film almost being altered heavily to have more "audience appeal". While the original vision survived, it was screwed over with only 150 theaters playing it.

-In the original story by Clive Barker, there is an important detail missing from the film that makes the reveal much scarier. Mainly, that the monsters we see are hardly anything compared to the much more powerful beast they themselves serve.
